Project Engineer – Minot, ND
Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. invites applicants for the Project Engineer role in Minot, ND. This full‑time position requires a US citizen, and candidates must pass a federal background review and drug screening.
Base Pay Range: $/yr – $/yr (actual pay based on skills and experience).
Responsibilities- Oversee all aspects of construction projects, from planning to execution and close out.
- Manage project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project milestones are met; serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
- Review contract documents for schedule compliance and reasonableness.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies; ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure work meets specifications and standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address quality issues.
- Review and analyze contractor plans and technical submittals for approval, including progress schedules, environmental, safety, and quality control programs, certifications, and shop drawings.
- Prepare correspondence regarding contractor performance, REAs, RFIs, and other technical issues.
- Assist with site visits and provide presentations to owner’s representatives.
- Guide, mentor, and train team members; oversee contract negotiations, administration, and compliance, resolving disputes related to contracts.
- Monitor scheduled progress of all construction activities and advise the Resident Engineer, COR, and project team of potential slippage or delay.
- Prepare partial and final payment estimates, including measurement and computation of pay item quantities, verification of materials on hand, and percentage complete of lump sum items.
- Produce monthly project reports displaying status and updates for customers.
- Participate in all phases of contract modification; assist in preparing scopes of work for RFPs, government estimates, reviews of contractor proposals, and modification documentation.
- Attend and participate in meetings with customers and contractors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of Construction Project Management experience.
- PMP certification preferred.
- Experience with federal construction projects, particularly USACE, preferred.
- Strong background in Project Management (PM) with the ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve project goals.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills required.
- Strong technical competencies for creating presentation materials and delivering electronically.
