Quality Engineer

Quality Engineer Responsibilities

• Communicates Corrective and Preventative actions to Customers as required.
• Schedules and Coordinates Customer Source Inspections and third-party inspections.
• Assist with new product launch by specifying materials, metallurgical processes, Capability Studies, review and update of PFMEA’s, Control Plans etc.
• Performs PPAP | First Article | Routine Inspections and documents results as required by Customer Specifications.
• Manages the Companies Layout Inspection and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Program, per the appropriate ASTM Standards.
• Documents and disposition non-Conforming materials (Scrap, Rework, or request Deviation)
• Develop and maintain metallurgical process controls, including melting, alloying, inoculation, and heat treatment procedures.
• Support Production Manager, Supervisors, Leads and other employees in all quality & technical related aspects of the manufacturing process.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, casting yield, scrap reduction, energy efficiency, etc.

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Previous Quality Engineering experience within manufacturing (Casting or machining is beneficial)
• Experience working with internal teams and external customers
