Job Description
We are seeking a Graduate Engineer to join our growing team and advance your career with WSB.
What You Will Do:- Provide project engineering and design of new water treatment facilities, groundwater wells, water storage facilities, pumping stations, and water distribution systems.
- Conduct business development and develop client relationships in drinking water markets.
- Review existing water treatment facilities, prepare reports for proposed equipment/systems upgrades and replacements, and present findings to clients and regulatory agencies.
- Help develop specifications and drawings such as process flow diagrams (PFDs) and process & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for senior drafting technicians.
- Assess impact of changing EPA and MDH regulations for specific client needs.
- Travel to client and vendor locations for design reviews, field verification of designs, proposal presentations, and other business development activities.
- Design and renovate lift stations, review existing wastewater treatment facilities, help prepare sewer system plans.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a similar accredited program.
- Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam completion and registration as an Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) required at time of hire or within six months.
- One year of experience in project management and planning, designing, and construction of water treatment facilities, groundwater wells, water storage facilities, pumping stations, and water distribution systems.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
- Work primarily performed in an office environment; occasional travel or field visits may be required.
