Senior Supplier Engineer - Acquisitions (Extrusions & Catheter Systems)

About the Role:

As a Senior Supplier Engineer - Acquisitions, you will serve as the technical lead for extrusion-based components and complex catheter systems across Boston Scientific's acquisition portfolio. This role is dedicated exclusively to evaluating, integrating, and stabilizing acquired technologies and supplier networks-from early diligence through post-close scale-up.

This is a high-impact, front-end role that operates in ambiguity. You will be expected to surface risk early, make defensible technical calls, and drive suppliers and internal teams to resolution under aggressive timelines.

* Serve as the supplier engineering lead for all extrusion and catheter-related scope in acquisitions, from technical due diligence through post-close integration.

* Lead supplier and process due diligence, including on-site assessments of extrusion processes, materials, tooling, secondary operations, and finished catheter assembly.

* Identify design, process, capacity, quality, and regulatory risks within acquired supplier ecosystems and define mitigation and integration plans.

* Partner with R&D and Design Assurance to assess design robustness and manufacturability of acquired catheter systems and recommend design or process changes as required.

* Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and Operations Quality to execute acquisition-specific deliverables, including:

* Supplier and material qualification strategies

* Supplier remediation and change assessments

* Capacity and capability stabilization plans

* Regulatory and materials compliance evaluations

* Act as the technical escalation point for supplier-related issues during acquisition integration, driving root cause analysis, corrective actions, and long-term prevention

* Partner with Global Sourcing to inform supplier strategy decisions, including continuation, transition, dual sourcing, or exit of inherited suppliers

* Communicate technical risks, gaps, and recovery plans clearly to site leadership and acquisition stakeholders

Support value capture by identifying cost, quality, and scalability improvements as acquired technologies are integrated into Boston Scientific's operating model

* Maintain uncompromising focus on patient safety, product quality, and compliance throughout acquisition activities

* Ability to travel 10-15% globally in support of acquisition-related supplier assessments

Preferred Qualifications:

* Deep expertise in medical-grade polymer extrusion, including multilumen tubing and reinforced catheter shafts
