Electronics Technician

* Location - Onsite

Position Summary
The Electronics Technician supports Research & Development efforts by executing electrical and electronic tests, setting up lab equipment, and troubleshooting electronic components and systems. This role works closely with engineers and cross-functional teams to support product development, design verification, and regulatory compliance. The technician will begin with smaller sub-assembly testing and progress to full-system testing as experience and proficiency grow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute electrical and electronic tests in R&D laboratory environments according to written test protocols and procedures.
  • Set up, configure, and maintain electrical test equipment and test stations.
  • Perform design verification testing to validate product performance against specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct testing on assemblies such as PCBs and circuit boards, with progression to full system-level testing over time.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with electronic components, prototypes, and existing products.
  • Collect, document, and report test data accurately and timely.
  • Provide clear, timely, and constructive feedback to engineers based on test results, observations, and troubleshooting findings.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and cross-functional teams to support development activities and ensure products meet performance and compliance requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement of test methods, setups, and lab operations as needed.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Associates degree in Electronic Technology, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an Electrical or Electronics Technician.
  • Hands-on experience with electronic test equipment, including function generators and power analyzers.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose electronic system issues.
  • Ability to follow detailed test protocols and document results accurately.
  • Effective communication skills for working with engineering and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail
Preferred qualification:
  • Experience working with LabVIEW or similar data acquisition and test automation tools.
