Job Overview

Responsibilities- Work with large Minnesota‑regional and national clients to solve the most interesting engineering challenges in the water / wastewater industry.
- Design pipeline assessment, rehabilitation and replacement projects for potable water and wastewater systems.
- Provide engineering support during design and construction for major regional water treatment projects.
- Lead design tasks by engaging directly with stakeholders throughout capital project design and construction phases.
- Participate in project management tasks such as defining scope, managing budgets, and project coordination.
- Meet with existing and prospective clients to support the sales team and facilitate the pursuit of current and upcoming project opportunities.
- Enhance your technical expertise through collaboration with leading professionals; participate in industry‑leading projects, research & development initiatives, and conferences.
- Provide mentorship to junior staff through structured guidance, work assignments, and technical reviews; receive technical mentorship to support your career growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
- Certification as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or passing the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam in states where an EIT is not obtainable (within 18 months of hire or promotion or transfer).
- 5 years of related experience.
- Domestic and/or international travel may be required; the frequency of travel depends on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position.
- Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- At least five years of experience in water and/or wastewater analysis and design.
- Experience presenting technical concepts to municipal clients through written reports and presentations.
- Basic understanding of the design process (conceptual design through construction‑phase engineering).
10% travel required.
Skills & Abilities- Knowledge of engineering principles of design, including preparation of design documents for municipal projects.
- Proficiency with Microsoft business software (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

CompensationPay Range: $78,645 – $129,750
