• Design of complete building automation systems including specification and sizing of controllers, electromechanical devices, sensors, networks, and computer hardware.
• Creation of sequences of operation for the control of all building systems where necessary.
• Documentation of BAS design submittals and revision control of resultant documents.
• Final documentation of the building automation system incorporating all changes made since the issuance of the submittal.
• Timely creation of requests for information (RFIs) that are clear, concise and well written.
• Clear communication and proactive expectation setting with supervisor and project teams.

• Comprehend, analyze and interpret construction plans and specification documents.
• Comprehensive knowledge of MEP systems and dynamics.

• Comprehensive knowledge of MEP systems and dynamics.

• Ensure engineering processes are followed and make suggestions for enhancement.

• Ensure Automated Logic organizational safety and ethics standards are met.
• Adherence to safety standards, with high regard for employee and subcontractor safety.
• Adherence to ethics standards, exemplifying the Carrier code of ethics.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in HVAC or BAS controls.

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, building automation, or related field.
• 5+ years of related experience in the Building Automation industry.
• Understands electrical and mechanical building systems.
• Proficiency in a Windows operating environment, including e‑mail and Microsoft Office software.
• Previous experience with Microsoft Visio, with special consideration given to individuals with Automated Logic EDS.
• Previous experience with Eikon, Site builder, and View builder.
• able to interpret plans (architectural, mechanical, electrical blueprints), specifications and contract documents to deliver compliant but optimized designs.
• able to accurately and effectively request clarifications to technical or scope information via a formal RFI process.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously under general direction in a highly dynamic, collaborative environment.
• Familiarity with third‑party communication protocols used in building automation such as BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, LON, N2 and ability to design integrations with the same.
• Effective and professional communication and organization skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and decision‑making ability.

• Basic understanding of IT networking concepts relating to Building Automation.

The annual salary for this position is between $64,500.00 and $ annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position may be entitled to short‑term cash incentives subject to plan requirements.
