Mechanical Engineer in Training (EIT)

We’re hiring a Mechanical Engineer in Training (EIT) to support a wide range of commercial, civic, K-12, and infrastructure-focused projects. This role is ideal for someone eager to apply their technical skills, learn from experienced engineers, and grow toward professional licensure.

Responsibilities
- Assist in the design of HVAC and plumbing systems for a variety of building types
- Support the preparation of construction drawings, specifications, and technical reports
- Collaborate with senior engineers, architects, and multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in construction administration tasks, such as responding to RFIs and reviewing submittals
- Conduct site visits with senior staff to observe construction progress and gather field data
- Communicate clearly in both remote and in-person team settings
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required
- EIT certification preferred, or a strong interest in pursuing EIT/PE licensure
- 2-7+ years of experience in HVAC or plumbing design (internship or co-op experience counts)
- Familiarity with Revit and AutoCAD preferred (training available)
- Strong technical aptitude with an eagerness to learn and take initiative
- Must reside in Minnesota to support local site visits and construction administration
