This position will manage and coordinate the statewide, day-to-day operations of the Jurisdictional Transfer, Pavement, and Traffic Programs within State Aid of Local Transportation. As a technical resource, helping to ensure consistent and equitable transfers of roadways, and pavement research, design, construction and preservation through the management and implementation of developed goals, objectives, and policies.
QualificationsLicensure as a Professional Civil Engineer with the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience and Interior Design (AELSLAGID). If obtaining licensure through Comity (reciprocity), a practice pending letter from AELSLAGID.
AND
Three years of experience as an Engineer Senior or equivalent that demonstrates:
- High level of knowledge of the operations of State Aid and its relationship to the divisions of MnDOT and to local units of government and the authorities of each.
- High level knowledge of legislative, department and local agency budgeting processes.
- Ability to initiate, formulate, prioritize, and manage an on-going program that meets statutory requirements, balances competing interests and maximizes the available funding for project delivery.
- Strong oral communication skills to mobilize action to achieve organizational goals, to coach and advise other program staff, to speak to individuals and groups to resolve differences of opinion and to testify before departmental policy committees and at other public forums.
- Valid Class D driver’s license.
