Actalent is hiring for a Manufacturing Engineer in the St Paul, MN area!

Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Experience Level: 3–5 years

We are seeking a detail-oriented engineer to support a Quality Management System (QMS) integration initiative. This role focuses on reviewing, updating, and executing documentation and processes as part of integrating legacy systems into a unified QMS framework.

The ideal candidate brings strong documentation review experience, familiarity with equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ), and the ability to quickly ramp up and contribute to cross-functional engineering efforts.

• Review and ensure accurate execution of procedures, protocols, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Support integration of legacy quality systems into an updated QMS framework
• Maintain and update controlled documentation, including:
• Work instructions
• Process flow diagrams
• Gap analyses
• Control plans
• Risk management documentation
• Lead and support complex engineering tasks related to manufacturing and quality integration
• Identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities; recommend and implement solutions
• Apply creative problem-solving where established processes may not exist
• Assess the impact of changes across systems, equipment, and processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams through design reviews and validation/verification activities
• Support equipment qualification activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) and documentation updates
• Contribute to initiatives such as line moves, process duplication, or equipment transfers

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Software, or related field) or Science discipline
• 3–5 years of relevant engineering or quality experience
• Strong documentation review and execution skills
• High level of attention to detail

• Experience supporting QMS integrations or system migrations
• Knowledge of equipment qualification processes (IQ/OQ/PQ)
• Experience with manufacturing line moves, transfers, or duplications

• Strong technical and analytical problem-solving skills
• Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes
• Excellent documentation and organizational skills
• Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and compliance

This role operates within a regulated manufacturing environment and requires close collaboration across engineering, quality, and operations teams.

This is a Contract position based out of Saint Paul, MN.

The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $42.00/hr.
