Electrical Systems Engineer
The Electrical Systems Engineer will serve as a key technical resource supporting all phases of new platform development, from concept and technology development through commercialization and post-market support. This role collaborates with marketing and medical affairs teams to define and refine user and design requirements, including participation in preclinical and formative studies with physicians and key users. The engineer will help architect, design, select, evaluate, prototype, test, and release to production electromechanical systems and single-use disposable devices used in ablation procedures.
This position supports mechanical, electrical, and software architecture and development, ensuring high-quality product delivery and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Support all phases of product development from concept through commercialization and post-market support.
- Collaborate with marketing and medical affairs teams to develop and improve user and design requirements.
- Participate in preclinical and formative studies with physicians and key users to gather feedback and refine designs.
- Architect, design, develop, test, and transfer electromechanical systems and disposable devices to production.
- Develop system diagrams, system architecture, GUI concepts, component selection, and subsystem designs.
- Create prototypes and conduct verification and validation activities.
- Plan production tools and design test fixtures for Class II medical devices.
- Research product development solutions and provide analysis to guide product direction.
- Consult with internal stakeholders to translate customer needs into engineering designs.
- Optimize designs based on test results in collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Work with external vendors and partners to accelerate product development and testing.
- Create and maintain design documentation, specifications, requirements, test plans, and validation reports.
- Serve as a hands-on technical resource for mechanical, electrical, and software engineering teams.
Experience:
- Minimum of eight years of experience in electronics and system design for new product development.
- Experience collaborating with marketing teams to develop user needs and requirements.
- Experience developing software-driven electromechanical medical devices.
- Broad engineering expertise across multiple engineering disciplines.
- Experience with single-use disposable devices.
- Prior experience with ablation devices is preferred.
Qualification And
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Ability to create clear product design documentation, including concept diagrams, specifications, requirements, test plans, and validation reports.
