- Provide project engineering and design of new water treatment facilities, groundwater wells, water storage facilities, pumping stations, and water distribution systems
- Conduct business development and develop client relationships in drinking water markets
- Review existing water treatment facilities, prepare reports for proposed equipment/systems upgrades and replacements, and present your findings to clients and regulatory agencies
- Help develop specifications and drawings such as process flow diagrams (PFDs) and process & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for senior drafting technicians
- Assess impact of changing EPA and MDH regulations for specific client needs
- Travel to client and vendor locations for design reviews, field verification of designs, proposal presentations, and other business development activities
- Design and renovate lift stations, review existing wastewater treatment facilities, help prepare sewer system plans
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or similar degree from an accredited school
- Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and registration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) is a condition of employment and must be achieved at the time of hire or within six (6) months
- 1 year of experience in project management and planning, designing, and construction of water treatment facilities, groundwater wells, water storage facilities, pumping stations, and water distribution systems
- Candidates must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic
- Ability to work 40 hours a week
- Work is primarily performed in an office environment with standard office equipment, occasional travel or field visits may be required
