This role is suited well for an experienced engineer who enjoys leading and delivering traffic design work across multimodal transportation projects of varying size and complexity to enhance safety, mobility, and system performance.
This covers everything from fast, small design assignments and quick-build demonstration builds to major improvements of urban corridors, highways, and interchanges.
As an experienced Traffic Engineer you will be responsible for the preparation and coordination of design plans and specifications for traffic engineering items including:
Traffic signals, hybrid beacons, and rectangular flashing beacons
Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) and construction phasing
Traffic signing
Pavement marking
You will be responsible for managing, directing, and completing tasks or projects for a range of project types including construction, reconstruction and rehabilitation of urban corridors, highways, alternative intersections, interchanges, county and city roadways, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, and demonstration projects.
The successful candidate must demonstrate strong attention to detail, communicate effectively, demonstrate effective teamwork, and have working knowledge of the MUTCD and relevant design guidance and be proficient in the application of quality management and quality assurance processes. You will contribute to review and delivery of traffic design deliverables while playing an important role in the success of a wide range of transportation projects.
