Manufacturing Engineer I
This role involves assisting in the daily support of products, processes, materials, and equipment to achieve production goals related to quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and safety. The position requires collaboration across multiple departments to ensure project success and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities- Work cooperatively with R&D, Process Development, Quality, Production, Regulatory, Equipment Engineering, Supply Chain, and Marketing teams to ensure project success.
- Identify and implement improvements in yields, processes, and productivity.
- Undertake and complete basic product support tasks, including verifying specifications, maintaining product/process documentation, testing processes, equipment, raw materials, and products, and validating equipment processes.
- Assist in creating concepts and designs for new processes and test methods.
- Design, procure, and fabricate basic equipment tooling and fixtures.
- Design and coordinate basic engineering tests and experiments.
- Summarize, analyze, and provide recommendations from test results.
- Perform troubleshooting on existing product/process problems related to design, material, or processes.
- Prepare standard reports/documentation to communicate results to the technical community.
- Assist in the identification and implementation of production goals.
- Train operators/technicians on new processes and test procedures.
- 0 - 1 year of experience with a Bachelor's degree in an engineering field.
- Manufacturing engineering skills.
- Operational Qualification (OQ) and Performance Qualification (PQ) experience.
- Proficiency in PMV (Process Monitoring and Verification).
- Self-motivated with initiative to identify issues and pursue solutions.
- Effective communication skills to escalate issues, engage cross-functional partners, and articulate actions taken to resolve problems.
- Collaboration skills to work effectively with other engineers and cross-functional teams.
- Execution and follow-through with a focus on completing assigned tasks and communicating status proactively.
- Problem-solving ability to define problems and develop working theories.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience or exposure to the medical field, particularly in OQ, PQ, and PMV.
The work environment involves collaboration with various departments and requires effective communication and problem-solving skills. The role may involve hands-on tasks with equipment and processes, requiring attention to detail and a proactive approach to completing tasks. The position encourages the development and implementation of innovative solutions in a cross-functional team setting.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Arden Hills, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
