Senior Mechanical Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to play a key role in the development of next-generation medical device technologies. This position offers the opportunity to drive mechanical design solutions for highly regulated electromechanical products, contributing throughout the product lifecycle from early-stage innovation and feasibility through commercialization and manufacturing transfer.

What You'll Do
- Lead the development of mechanical systems and assemblies for advanced medical device products.
- Transform product requirements into innovative, practical engineering solutions that balance performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost.
- Create detailed 3D models, component designs, and engineering documentation using Solid Works.
- Guide projects through concept generation, prototyping, verification testing, and production readiness.
- Partner with quality, manufacturing, systems, software, and electrical engineering teams to support successful product development efforts.
- Evaluate technical risks, identify design improvements, and recommend solutions that support program objectives.
- Support design verification and validation activities, ensuring product performance aligns with regulatory and customer requirements.
- Contribute expertise in electromechanical integration, component selection, and mechanical system architecture.
- Apply design-for-manufacturing principles to ensure scalable and efficient production processes.
- Participate in technical reviews, provide design recommendations, and communicate project status to stakeholders.
- Utilize engineering analysis and sound judgment to resolve challenging mechanical design issues.
- Develop clear technical reports, design specifications, test protocols, and engineering records.
- Share technical knowledge across the organization through mentoring, coaching, and peer collaboration.
- Support ongoing improvements to engineering processes, tools, and development methodologies.
- Leverage experience with fluid handling, valve technologies, or cryogenic systems when applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
- 6+ years of professional mechanical engineering experience, or equivalent advanced-degree experience.
- Strong background designing products within regulated engineering environments.
- Advanced proficiency with Solid Works, including complex part modeling, assemblies, and drawing creation.
- Experience developing electromechanical products from concept through manufacturing.
- Demonstrated success leading technical work streams, projects, or major product subsystems.
- Solid understanding of design verification, prototyping, testing, and product development best practices.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve complex engineering challenges.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
- Proven ability to document technical work clearly and accurately.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience working with Class II or Class III medical devices.
- Knowledge of fluid systems, valve technologies, or cryogenic equipment.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as machining, molding, assembly, and product transfer activities.
- Experience supporting product development in a regulated industry environment.
- Prior experience mentoring engineers or providing technical leadership.
- Working knowledge of risk management and design controls within product development programs.

Pay and Benefits
