Compensation: $75,000 to $100,000 base salary plus comprehensive benefits
Position Summary
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design and development of advanced manufacturing and automation systems. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, developing innovative products, and collaborating across mechanical, electrical, software, and manufacturing teams.
The successful candidate will take ownership of projects from concept through production, contributing to system architecture, design, testing, and continuous product improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Create 3D models, detailed drawings, and engineering documentation using CAD software.
- Design and develop mechanical systems, assemblies, and equipment for advanced manufacturing applications.
- Lead projects through concept development, prototyping, testing, and product release.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical, electrical, and software components.
- Troubleshoot and improve electromechanical systems, including motion control, sensors, motors, and pneumatic devices.
- Support design reviews, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with manufacturing teams to optimize designs for quality, reliability, and scalability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 2+ years of mechanical engineering experience in product development, equipment design, automation, or related industries.
- Strong experience with 3D CAD software, preferably Solid Works.
- Proven ability to design complex mechanical systems from concept through production.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and mechanical design principles.
- Experience working with electromechanical systems and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Self-directed and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience
- Additive manufacturing, industrial automation, robotics, semiconductor equipment, or precision machinery.
- Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
- Prototype development, validation testing, and reliability improvement.
- Experience in small or growing organizations where adaptability and initiative are highly valued.
