Must Have- Knowledge of Electrochemistry
- Understanding of materials and their interactions with the body and environment
- Ability to correlate material properties with product performance to predict various failure modes
- Lab work experience
- Deep knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices
- Experience with analytical techniques such as HPLC, gas chromatography (GC), PCR, spectrophotometry
- Knowledge and experience of Materials Characterization Techniques
Top 3 Required Skill Sets:
- Lab work experience
- Knowledge of Metals
- Knowledge of Electrochemistry
Main Responsibilities / Day-to-Day Activities:
- Conduct laboratory testing, materials characterization, and failure analysis to support product development and issue resolution
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive technical solutions and business objectives
- Review technical documentation and extract critical information needed

ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Analyze, research, design, and develop materials and their related fabrication and application processes to develop and optimize materials for use in engineering design of and/or application in structures, systems, and subsystems.
- Apply principles of chemistry, physics, and material behavior to develop metallic, nonmetallic, and composite material and processing specifications, fabrication, and assembly processes.
- Develop, analyze, and apply material properties and design allowables, processing processes, and quality engineering specifications.
- Conduct material analyses, including failure analysis of components, systems, and subsystems, life predictions, and definition and requirement specifications.
- Review and approve subcontractor material processing procedures.
This role typically requires a University Degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 0 years of experience.
