As part of the Global Sourcing organization, the Sr. Supplier Engineer provides technical leadership for the development, commercialization, and ongoing support of procured printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs). The role partners with R&D and cross-functional teams on sustaining engineering and new product development to resolve supplier issues, qualify and troubleshoot products and processes, and drive continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle.
It also helps shape sourcing and supplier-management strategies that reduce costs, improve operations, and optimize supplier selection for existing and new product lines.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with R&D on design requirements for new product development; support the development phase, qualification and production release activities
- Planning and managing all project phases and activities; lead engineers and cross-functional teams in qualifying and optimizing PCBA designs, component selection, and supplier processes
- Performing technical tasks such as executing engineering change requests and supplier change impact assessments to ensure quality and material regulation compliance; complete component qualification reports
- Partnering with the category team to review and sustain approved suppliers, identify new suppliers when necessary, and analyze market trends to enhance the category strategy and drive continuous improvement
- Communicating effectively with senior leadership, cross-functional stakeholders, and customer plant leaders to secure support and resources as needed
- Managing ambiguous situations with sensitivity and awareness; applying a solution-oriented approach to resolve issues
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a STEM-related discipline with at least 5yrs of engineering experience
- Working knowledge of root cause investigation methodologies used to identify and resolve quality or yield related issues.
- Ability to travel up to 15% globally
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with 6yrs experience with PCB/PCBA manufacturing
- Experience with electronics manufacturing including knowledge of SMT, PCB fabrication, passive and active electronic component technologies
- Working knowledge of statistical methodologies
- Experience working in medical device or similar GMP environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with experience leading cross-functional project teams
- Ability to develop internal and external relationships and influence stakeholders to achieve results
- Organized and detail-oriented with ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects effectively
- Strong technical writing and reporting skills; ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels
