Job Description Join the ACES Team (Automation and Controls Expert Services) as a Senior Controls Technician and bring your BAS expertise to complex commercial projects across the U.S. In this role, you’ll support Trane commercial and independent sales offices with building automation system programming, checkout, commissioning, troubleshooting, and validation, while serving as a senior technical resource across multiple offices and job sites.

As part of the Centralized Services ACES Team, you’ll collaborate with Project Managers, Controls Project Specialists, and Field Technicians to deliver high-quality system performance and support hardware and software design validation activities. You’ll also have opportunities to contribute to the testing and validation of new, existing, and legacy products and systems. Please note that this role requires 75%+ travel. Travel is primarily within the U.S., with occasional international travel possible.

This role can be based anywhere in the Continental United States.

• Responsible for the configuration, programming and check-out and commissioning of complex building automation systems that require a high level of attention to detail.
• Responsible for reviewing and maintaining installation and programming standards.
• Acquire and maintain expertise in Trane Controls products and offerings, as well as applicable third‑party devices.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in Trane controls.
• Ability to provide support and remote connected support for field installations.
• Responsible for advising, and guiding Field Technicians, Engineers, and sub‑contractors.
• Ensures customer satisfaction by collaborating with customers and internal teams to resolve issues as they arise.

• 5+ years of experience in the HVAC industry performing as a Controls Technician or Controls Project Specialist roles preferred.
• Proficiency in the operation and design of HVAC systems, building automation systems, and/or Temperature Controls required.
• Previous experience in programming, commissioning, and startup of Trane control systems preferred. Familiarity with Automated Logic, Distech, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, or…
