Job Summary
The Client Service Coordinator (CSC) drives client and pet flow through the hospital, supports the veterinary medical team’s productivity, ensures clear communication with associates and clients, and coordinates client and pet care to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS- Provide professional, efficient and exceptional service at all times, encouraging hospital visits, welcoming clients and pets, and ensuring their comfort.
- Educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans, preventive care, pet health needs and hospital services.
- Assist incoming clients by completing documentation, entering pet information and history into the computer, and using proper identification tags.
- Actively recruit new clients by promoting hospital services and routing the flow of clients and pets to maximize veterinary team productivity.
- Maximize the number of pets seen by maintaining a productive and efficiently run hospital to support wellness plan clients.
- Assist outgoing clients by providing instructions, invoices, dispensing prescription items, selling retail products, and scheduling future appointments.
- Manage finances by maintaining accurate balances and performing opening and closing procedures.
- Conduct administrative functions as required and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc.

- Communication: read, write, and speak fluent English with strong written and verbal skills.

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be at least 18 years old for duties involving radiography and exposure to radioactive substances. One year of related customer service experience required; medical background (veterinary technician, human healthcare, pharmaceutical, etc.) with medical terminology training preferred.
SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS- Work at a computer for long periods; confident around pets (dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, etc.).
- May require more than 40 hours per week and special hours including weekends and evenings.
- Must have reading, writing, speaking proficiency in English, and adequate physical ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- Require good hand‑eye coordination, arm‑hand dexterity, and vision (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth).
- Exposure to pets that may bite or scratch, anesthesia, radiation, biological hazards and medication/controlled substances.
$16.16 – $20.66 hourly, based on experience, skill level, and education, and may vary by location and applicable minimum wage laws.
