Risk Manager/Analyst, Financial Compliance
Responsibilities
- Completes new and periodic third‑party risk assessments through research, interviews, and consultation with internal experts to understand and quantify risks associated with assigned third parties
- Maintains and monitors third‑party profiles and risk work spaces in NAVEX
- Works with third parties and internal stakeholders to obtain up‑to‑date information and documents that are necessary for new and periodic assessments
- Assures that new third parties and new services from current vendors are properly assessed prior to onboarding (i.e., conducts front‑end due diligence)
- Identifies and communicates third‑party risks to business owners and other stakeholders
- Participates in special projects and assessments pertaining to third‑party risk
- Shares knowledge of industry‑standard risk assessment and mitigation approaches
- Possesses a holistic view of assigned business units and how key components ensure appropriate risk management
- Influences and participates in building and administering third‑party risk awareness throughout the enterprise
- Works with appropriate Subject Matter Experts to escape and review certain third‑party risks
- Escalates issues internally when appropriate
- Provides advice and counsel on third‑party risk as needed
- Reviews and analyzes various third‑party submissions, including SOC reports, assessment questionnaires, business continuity plans, and financial reports
- Maintains understanding of relevant regulations and regulatory guidance set forth by agencies such as the FFIEC, Federal Reserve, OCC, CFPB, etc.
- Effectively communicates complex information to various audiences both verbally and in writing
- Establishes trust with business partners through demonstration of knowledge and commitment
- Recommends changes and improvements to TPRM
- Manages multiple projects and assessments simultaneously
- Participates in industry events, continuing education, and programs

AdditionalSkills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of TPRM, legal, and/or equivalent experience (Compliance, Fraud, Business, etc.)
- Knowledge and application of third‑party risk concepts, TPRM best practices, and related professional practices
- Ability to lead and facilitate meetings with stakeholders solving complex risk issues, risk quantification, identifying leading metrics and controls
- Experience applying risk methodologies and concepts to situations in the insurance or financial services industry
- Strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize many concurrent tasks
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to work effectively, establish credibility and influence at all levels
- Strong analytical abilities and critical thinking
- Knowledge of risk quantification, risk reporting solutions, and ability to perform advanced reporting and data analysis highly preferred
- CTPRP and/or other comparable third‑party risk management certifications (or desire to pursue such certifications)
- Financial services and/or insurance industry experience
This is a Contract position based out of Saint Paul, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.18/hr.
