MnCIFA is hiring! MnCIFA is a mission-driven clean energy financing authority focused on impact investing with the paramount goal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. We are a new State Agency with the vibe of an entrepreneurial start-up.

We offer a hybrid work environment with 3 days per week in the office and 2 days of telework. Our office is located in the Golden Rule Building in downtown St. Paul.

As Investment Officer, you will manage all aspects of transactions, including soliciting, reviewing and processing proposed financing requests, facilitating project awards and bringing those requests to close. You will also conduct outreach to and build partnerships with diverse stakeholders, and conduct research on emerging market opportunities.

Three (3) years of experience performing analysis, exercising judgment, and relying on knowledge as a loan officer, loan originator, or in loan portfolio management, finance, or a closely related field.

• A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Public Administration, or related field is equivalent to one (1) year of experience.
• An advanced degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Public Administration, or related field is equivalent to eighteen (18) months of experience.

Applicants who meet the above education/experience requirements will be further evaluated based on the following:

• Experience in originating or executing transactions in project, infrastructure, and/or structured finance.
• Experience in conducting outreach and building partnerships with diverse stakeholders, including community groups, business associations, contractors or vendors, and project developers.
• Experience with collaborative software solutions (e.g., CRM, Loan Processing or Financial Software).
• Experience in financial modeling.

The purpose of MnCIFA is to accelerate the deployment of clean energy projects, greenhouse gas emissions reduction projects, and other qualified projects through the strategic deployment of public funds in the form of grants, loans, credit enhancements, and other financing mechanisms.
