We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to oversee the financial operations of our organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance, with a focus on maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring adherence to GAAP standards. This position will also manage and maintain all HR records, including insurances, performance reviews, and other sensitive documentation.
This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent analytical skills to support our financial management and decision-making processes. This role is ideal for a dynamic professional who can operate at both strategic and operational levels.
- Lead the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- File Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Sales tax returns for Minnesota, California, Arizona, North Carolina, Washington and Utah
- Coordinate Hiring Activities for all departments.
- Manage general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and month-end/year-end closing processes.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions ensuring timely processing and accuracy.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements.
- Administer payroll processing and ensure adherence to relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support organizational planning.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory standards.
- Prepare detailed financial reports for internal management and external stakeholders.
- Manage cash flow and cash management strategies to optimize liquidity.
- Support internal controls development and audit processes to safeguard organizational assets.
- Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions involving double entry bookkeeping, account analysis, and financial concepts.
- Maintain and update fixed asset records and the Chart of Accounts.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a Controller or senior accounting role managing staff in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in public accounting is a plus.
- Extensive knowledge of GAAP compliance, and regulatory reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Quick Books or similar platforms; experience with financial software is essential.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts including cash management, budgeting, forecasting, account reconciliation, debits & credits, and technical accounting practices.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and prepare comprehensive reports.
- Effective communication skills for preparing clear financial report writing and presenting findings to stakeholders.
