Looking for an opportunity to lead finance for a growing manufacturing business and have a direct impact on company performance?
We're partnering with a privately held manufacturing organization seeking a Finance & Accounting Director to lead the U.S. finance function and serve as a key business partner to executive leadership.
This is a highly visible leadership role offering broad responsibility across accounting, finance, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and operational decision support. The company has successfully completed a significant operational transformation and is continuing to invest in growth, process improvements, and future expansion initiatives.
The ideal candidate is equally comfortable leading strategic discussions with executives and rolling up their sleeves to support day-to-day financial operations.
What You'll Do- Lead all accounting and finance activities for the U.S. business
- Oversee monthly close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Manage cost accounting, inventory analysis, and operational finance activities
- Partner with executive leadership to support strategic planning and business decision-making
- Develop financial insights, KPIs, and reporting tools that improve operational visibility
- Drive improvements in cash flow, working capital management, and financial processes
- Support operational excellence initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small accounting team
- Collaborate closely with operations, supply chain, and business leaders across the organization
- Support future growth initiatives, including international expansion opportunities
- 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
- Prior leadership experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong cost accounting, inventory, and operational finance expertise
- Experience partnering directly with operations and executive leadership teams
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to operate both strategically and tactically
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to influence business decisions through financial insight and operational partnership
- Manufacturing, industrial, or product-based industry experience
- SAP experience
- CPA or public accounting foundation
- Experience supporting inventory-intensive operations
- Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement exposure
- Serve as the top finance leader for the U.S. business
- Direct access to executive leadership and key decision-makers

- Base salary: $150,000–$180,000
- Bonus opportunity: 10%–15%
