Position Overview
Actuarial Consultant or Actuarial Senior Analyst responsible for executing, strengthening, explaining, and continuously improving actuarial production processes. Works closely with the Appointed Actuary and other stakeholders, ensuring reliable processes and impactful business outcomes across Life, Annuity, Retirement, Group, Affinity, and Assets.
Key Accountabilities- Work independently with strong accuracy, understanding, and consistency across a broad scope.
- Promote integrity of production outputs by performing reviews, validations, and initial analysis to identify potential issues.
- Engage closely with partners and stakeholders, building confidence in deliverables and strengthening shared outcomes.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts, evolving processes to be more impactful, efficient, resilient, and well controlled.
- Build strong understanding of supported products, models, and purposes to ensure production work aligns with stakeholder needs.
- Demonstrate ownership of responsibilities, delivering commitments and proactively managing timelines and dependencies.
- Contribute to a culture of accountability, curiosity, and learning, promoting insights from hands‑on experience.
- Execute production processes, including data preparation, model runs, result reviews, and downstream analysis.
- Perform baseline testing and ongoing validations to support confidence in outcomes.
- Develop and maintain documentation, testware, and supporting tools that enhance confidence and explainability.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve production issues and inefficiencies, working with stakeholders as needed.
- Drive alignment with actuarial governance policies, controls, and best practices.
- Partner across teams to ensure clear handoffs, shared understanding, and proactive issue resolution.
- Seek opportunities beyond immediate scope that support broader team objectives and personal growth.

Preferred Qualifications- Associate or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries designation, or equivalent credentials or experience.
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with comfort navigating ambiguity.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail.
- Experience supporting complex actuarial, financial, or data‑driven production processes.
- Familiarity with life, annuity, retirement, group, affinity, or asset products.
- Exposure to actuarial modeling, reporting, or governance frameworks.
- Experience driving process improvement or control enhancements.
- Familiarity with tools such as Prophet, Fact Set, R, Alteryx, or other actuarial modeling, data, and automation tools.
Associates will work virtually and in office, with on‑site presence 3 days per week for employees within a 90‑minute commute. Flexible scheduling is supported to accommodate business and personal needs.
PayThe estimated base pay range for this job is: $89,000.00 – $. Pay may vary depending on job‑related factors and individual experience, skills, and knowledge.
