Mortgage Loan Officer; St. Paul or Minnetonka

Overview

The Mortgage Loan Officer will provide a high level of customer service in the origination of consumer home mortgage loans. The position will build and maintain a strong network of internal and external referral sources and generate fee income according to budget. The Mortgage Loan Officer will work with the SVP, Director of Mortgage, Public Relations Manager, and other Mortgage Department team members to develop and utilize successful marketing strategies.

The position is responsible for ensuring compliance with policy, regulations, and investor guidelines with every loan transaction.

• 3+ years of prior mortgage lending experience, with loan volume in the past 12 months greater than $8 million.
• High School diploma, or equivalent.
• Established relationships within the local community and in job-related organizations.
• Ability to provide a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy of work.
• Strong technical skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Knowledge of office methods, procedures, and practices including the use of standard office equipment.

The ideal candidate will report to one of the following Coulee Bank locations:
Minnesota:
Minnetonka or St. Paul;
Wisconsin:
La Crosse or Onalaska.

Coulee Bank offers a flexible hybrid work model. This position is expected to work in office three (3) days per week with the potential to work remotely up to two (2) days per week.

• Provide a high level of customer service in the origination of consumer home mortgage loans.
• Build and maintain a strong network of internal and external referral sources.
• Generate fee income according to budget.
• Work with mortgage and marketing staff to develop and implement successful marketing strategies.
• Ensure compliance with policy, regulations, and investor guidelines with every loan transaction.
• Assess and evaluate the credit worthiness of applicants to arrive at an independent recommendation on the origination and/or continuation of a credit relationship with the Bank.
• Originate investor-quality mortgage loans in a manner that meets the annual fee income budget while adhering to pricing and loan policy guidelines.
• Maintain and expand the Mortgage Department’s presence in the community by participating in community and business organizations and events.
• Attend regular training to maintain knowledge of industry trends, developments, and regulatory changes.
• Assist in and respond to internal and external audits and reviews as requested.
• Maintain broker and investor relationships to minimize risk to Coulee Bank.
• Collect past-due loans assigned to portfolio in a timely manner.

• Pay Range: $45,177.60 annually ($21.72/hr) plus Mortgage Loan Officer Incentive Plan.
• Compensation details: $21.72 hourly wage.
