Operations Associate – Global Trade & Standby Services

U.S. Bank supports complex international trade and payment transactions that keep businesses moving across borders.

• Operate with greater independence and ownership across day‑to‑day processing of Global Trade & Standby Services (GTSS) products, including Import/Export Letters of Credit, Documentary Collections, Banker’s Acceptances, and Standby Letters of Credit.
• Execute and support Foreign Exchange (FX) and international payment activities, including cross‑border payments, remittances, settlements, and investigations.
• Review, validate, and reconcile transactions and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness; identify discrepancies or issues and take action to resolve or elevate as appropriate.
• Partner with internal teams and stakeholders to facilitate trade transactions, payments, and disbursements while ensuring adherence to banking regulations, internal policies, and service‑level expectations.
• Maintain documentation and system records in a high‑volume, paperless processing environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three or more years of relevant work experience.

• Experience with international payments, trade finance, or FX operations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset; problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Effective communication skills and ability to partner across teams.
• Familiarity with SWIFT or trade/payment systems is a plus.

• Hybrid (3+ days onsite) – Monday to Friday.
• Locations:
  St. Paul, MN (West Side Flats) or Los Angeles, CA.

$27.50 – $36.68 per hour.
