Finance Leadership Development Program (FLDP)

This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Relocation is not available for this position at this time. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment VISA for this position at this time.

Boston Scientific's Finance Leadership Development Program (FLDP) is a two-year rotational program designed to develop high-potential finance professionals into future business leaders. The program consists of two one-year rotations across Finance and Accounting, with the expectation of full-time placement upon successful completion.

Potential Rotations Include:

  • Global Internal Audit
  • Global Operations Finance
  • Global Distribution Finance
  • Divisional Finance
  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
  • Corporate Accounting
  • Corporate Treasury

The FLDP provides hands-on experience through challenging rotational assignments, executive exposure, mentorship, and a structured professional development curriculum. Participants gain broad business knowledge while building the technical and leadership skills needed for long-term career success at Boston Scientific.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Participate in two rotational assignments across Finance and Accounting, gaining exposure to multiple business functions and developing a broad understanding of Boston Scientific's global business.
  • Support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting activities while analyzing business performance and identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Partner with Global Operations Finance teams to analyze manufacturing costs, operational performance, inventory, and productivity initiatives that drive business results.
  • Collaborate with Global Distribution Finance and supply chain partners to evaluate distribution performance, logistics costs, and operational efficiencies.
  • Assist Divisional Finance and FP&A teams with financial modeling, business planning, forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic decision-making.
  • Support Corporate Accounting, Corporate Treasury, or Global Internal Audit through financial reporting, reconciliations, internal controls, compliance activities, cash management, and audit projects.
  • Analyze financial and operational data to provide meaningful insights and recommendations that support business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategic initiatives that contribute to operational excellence and profitable growth.
  • Interact with Finance leaders and business partners while developing leadership, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Build a strong professional network through mentorship, executive exposure, structured training, and leadership development opportunities.
  • Present project results, recommendations, and key business insights to Finance leadership throughout the program.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university.
  • Prior Boston Scientific Finance internship experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization.
  • Experience with one or more financial systems or tools such as SAP, Hyperion, Tableau, or Bloomberg.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong academic record.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.
  • Previous internship experience with Boston Scientific.
