This position exists to coordinate the administration of Minnesota's state and community highway safety program by planning, coordinating, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating state‑wide traffic safety projects designed to reduce traffic crashes, deaths, and injuries.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
- Two+ years of experience independently managing the development, negotiation, and monitoring of projects including analysis, interpretation, and complex decision making skills.
- Experience with developing and monitoring budgets for projects or grants.
- Knowledge of and experience with the use of traffic safety countermeasures including education and enforcement efforts.
- Experience writing reports, procedures, plans, and correspondence sufficient to provide clear and thorough information to a variety of audiences.
- Human relations ability sufficient to interact positively and tactfully with co‑workers and a large variety of public groups.
- Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and underserved communities.
* A Bachelors degree or higher may substitute for one year of required experience
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with programs and procedures of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
- Knowledge of and experience with the enforcement and safety advocate communities in the state.
- Experience with traffic safety incident management.
- Experience with an electronic grant management system.
Requires occasionally moving and transporting such articles as file folders and small tools. May need to maintain a stationary position for long periods of time while carrying out job duties.
