* At the State of Minnesota, employees play a critical role in developing policies, providing essential services, and working to improve the well-being and quality of life for all Minnesotans. The State of Minnesota is committed to equity and inclusion, and invests in employees by providing benefits, support resources, and training and development opportunities.

This position will coordinate, administer, and support grant management and related activities in the Violence Prevention Programs Unit (VPPU). The VPPU includes the Human Trafficking Prevention and Response Program and the Sexual Violence Prevention Program. This position will be responsible for meeting the unit's goals and objectives through implementing grants and contracts (state, federal, and private), including management of requests for proposals, application review, award contracting, invoicing, monitoring, and ensuring grantee compliance with funding source requirements in coordination with VPPU supervisor, program directors and staff.

Additionally, the position will be responsible for understanding, updating, and implementing policies and procedures related to grant and contract management within the VPPU, Injury & Violence Prevention Section, Injury Prevention and Mental Health Division (IPMH), Minnesota Department of Health (MDH), and the state enterprise. The position will also monitor VPPU compliance with grant awards from state, federal, and private sources in coordination with the program directors and staff.

** Primary responsibilities include:*
* 1. Oversees and provides programmatic monitoring for VPPU grant and contract programs, which may include Safe Harbor (providing comprehensive supportive services to sexually exploited youth throughout the state of Minnesota), labor trafficking services to all ages, and sexual violence prevention subawards under the federal Rape Prevention and Education (RPE) program, among others.

2. Manages and monitors, both administratively and financially, various grant programs and contracts. These may include but are not limited to grant programs established by M.S. 145.4716 (Safe Harbor for Sexually Exploited Youth) and M.S. 144.385 (labor trafficking services); subawards under the federal RPE program; and subawards under other federal and private awards as needed.

3. Initiates, builds, and sustains community partnerships and community development to increase access to services for survivors of human trafficking and sexual violence and promotion of health-equity-informed prevention initiatives in coordination with all VPPU programming and partners.

The telework policy may exempt employees who live more than 50 miles from their primary work location from the 50% in-office requirement, depending on job requirements, helping the State of Minnesota access top talent across the state.

** MDH relies heavily on grant funding, in addition to state appropriated dollars. As an agency, we continually monitor funding levels and navigate some degree of uncertainty related to grant cycles and the impact of the grant funding on program priorities.*
* ** This position is currently funded and approved to be filled. While the position is funded at this time, future funding is dependent on the continuation of our funding sources.
