We are seeking a Grants Specialist to provide grant portfolio support. In this position, you will manage Legacy and general fund state grants administered by the Department of Administration and assist partners with their grant management processes and procedures. Responsibilities may include:

+ Working with grantees to develop overall grant timelines, goals, objectives, and reports.

+ Providing grants management and support during the entire life cycle of the grant.

+ Providing grantees with training, orientation, ongoing technical support, and grant guidelines that reflect current state and federal laws, regulations, and policies.

+ Monitoring Legacy and general fund grants, including reviewing grant payment invoices, conducting grant monitoring and site visits, conducting financial reconciliation, issuing written reports, and suggesting corrective action, as needed.

+ Conducting research on state and federal grant-making.

+ Providing administrative support to the OGM team, as needed.

+ Assisting grant seekers with grant seeking resources.

This position is eligible for up to a 50% hybrid telework arrangement. With a telework arrangement, additional onsite attendance may be required for team meetings or as requested by management to meet business needs. Completion of a telework agreement will be required. ** Minimum Qualifications*
* The following qualifications are required of all applicants seeking consideration for this position. Only applicants whose application materials clearly demonstrate fulfillment of each of these minimum qualifications will be considered for the position.

+ One (1) year of experience in grants management or grants compliance.

+ Knowledge of state and federal policies and procedures for the administration of grants.

+ Knowledge and understanding of the principles of grants administration or grants management from pre-award through grant closeout.

+ Knowledge of general accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and basic grant financial practice and procedures.

+ Ability to research, interpret, and effectively communicate state laws, policies, rules, regulations and procedures as they relate to state and federal grants, including resourcefulness in seeking out information from a variety of sources.

+ Ability to conduct research, gather data and synthesize findings into reports that are clear and easy to read.

+ Effective communication skills, including the ability to make presentations and provide trainings to groups.
