POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:
To assist with various responsibilities of the Supply Chain department; to receive, store, issue, inventory stock levels, transport, and monitor materials, supplies, linen, mail, and equipment; and to perform related duties as assigned.
MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND TASKS:

Distributes supplies, linen, specimens, equipment, mail and other items throughout the hospital campus.

* Fills and issues order requests.
* Transports soiled equipment.
* Maintains accurate records of work requests and other pertinent information.
* Cleans and straightens work area on a daily basis.

Receives and stocks product.

* Contacts Purchasing to follow up on problems and obtain information.
* Monitors inventory levels and makes recommendations.
* Checks expiration dates and rotates product.

Performs general clerical duties such as computer entry, scanning, and filing.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Works in inventory and patient care areas. Lifts up to 70 pounds and pushes carts daily while moving supplies, linen, equipment, and patients. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

General working conditions but the Dock area can be warmer in the summer and sometimes cooler in the winter as well as dustier.
