OverviewOur client is seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician to join the Corporate Research Analytical Laboratory. This hands‑on role supports sample preparation, laboratory organization, and testing activities to ensure high‑quality analytical work contributing to Company R&D activities.
Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain laboratory spaces and organize resources for analytical testing.
- Support laboratory experiments through testing and evaluation of new materials and samples.
- Perform sample preparation utilizing pipetting equipment, analytical balances, cutting instruments, and other lab equipment as trained/directed
- Conduct chemical testing to capture basic analytical data
- Conduct mechanical performance testing for research, development, and quality control.
- Conduct visual observations and tests on samples, potentially including competitor products
- Document all results accurately
- High school diploma and a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Laboratory Technician in a commercial, industrial, government, or academic research environment. [OR] 2-year associate degree in a laboratory science (chemistry, biology, microbiology, or related field).
- Knowledge of analytical testing methods and equipment.
- Ability to work onsite from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday–Friday.
- Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 5 pounds.
- Ability to use a ladder or step stool for elevated tasks.
- Strong hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Prior analytical lab experience, especially work with mechanical testing, rheological testing, liquid chromatography, gas chromatography, ion chromatography, X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy (XRF), inductively coupled plasma (ICP) spectroscopy, or titration.
- Strong organizational skills; self‑motivated and results driven.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Demonstrated problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
