American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with a minimum of 1 year of experience for a night shift travel contract at an acute care teaching hospital.
- Acute care teaching hospital setting, Level 3 trauma center with 317 staffed beds
- MRI department serving adult acute care, adult ICU, adult outpatient, and ER/trauma populations
- Abdomen and pelvis MRI procedures include abdominal MRA/MRV, female and male pelvis, and MRCP
- Chest MRI experience is required
- Head and neck MRI procedures include brain, cranial nerves, face/soft tissue neck, orbits, and head/neck MRA/MRV
- Musculoskeletal MRI procedures include shoulder, knee, hip, foot, hand, TMJ with/without contrast, sternum, and long bones of upper and lower extremities
- Spine MRI procedures include cervical, thoracic, lumbar, sacrum/coccyx, spinal trauma, and thoracic MRA
- Special imaging procedures include diffusion (non-brain), gradient echo imaging, image post-processing, MIP, MPR, perfusion, peripheral MRA, spin echo, surface coils, T1 and T2 weighted imaging
- Equipment used includes PACS and Siemens MRI systems
- Charting in Epic (Excellian) — experience required
- 4x10 night shifts, Monday–Thursday, 9:00 PM–7:00 AM (or 7:30 AM)
- No on‑call required
- No floating within the unit; however, candidates may float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals
- No weekend requirements
- Local candidates are accepted for this position
- Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience required
- ARRT‑R and BLS certifications required
- Active state license required by start date — license required if applicable
- Experience in adult acute care, adult ICU, adult outpatient, and ER/trauma settings required
- Proficiency with PACS and Siemens MRI equipment required
- Epic (Excellian) EMR experience required
- Skills required include isolation precautions, contrast media preparation and/or administration, radiation safety, and starting peripheral IVs
- 1 supervisor reference minimum required for consideration
- First‑time travelers are welcome to apply
- Pre‑start modules are required to be completed before the first day of the assignment
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility as permanent staff or per diem must have been separated for at least 3 months from their last shift worked
- RTO requests of no more than 5 days are preferred
- Schedule change requests should be discussed with the manager
- Dark gray scrubs required
