Global Mental Health Program – Licensed Psychotherapist

Location: Hybrid – St. Paul, MN / Telehealth (Remote)

Our Global Mental Health Program provides specialized mental health care for culturally diverse communities.

Our clinicians integrate clinical excellence with cultural humility, supporting clients as they navigate trauma, and adaptation to new environments—restoring safety, belonging, and hope.

We use an integrative, collaborative, and culturally grounded model of care that values partnership, respect, and cultural strengths.

This is an independent contractor position—not a salaried or benefits-eligible role.

Our ideal candidate is a licensed psychotherapist with a passion for serving culturally diverse populations, bringing both professional expertise and empathy to this meaningful work.

• Provide psychotherapy to adults (18+) through telehealth and/or in-person sessions at our St. Paul office.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments as needed.
• Attend monthly professional meetings.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EHR system.
• Independent Contractor status: paid time off and health insurance are not provided.
• Flexibility: Create your own schedule and choose between remote, in-person, or hybrid services.
• Commitment: Minimum one-year contract.
• Caseload: 20+ sessions per week (option to expand).
• Compensation: Flat-rate reimbursement per service, plus travel reimbursement (if applicable).
• Bonuses: Hiring, mid-year, and end-of-year bonuses available.

Pathways invests in ongoing growth and collaboration:

• Monthly training in cultural formulation, trauma-informed care, and integrative mental health.
• Access to free CEU-approved training to meet state requirements.
• Opportunities for cross-cultural consultation and teaching involvement within the program.

• Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or social work.
• Current licensure as LPCC, LMFT, LICSW, or LP (required).
• Experience working with culturally diverse populations (preferred).

• Cultural humility and respect for all people.
• Strong clinical judgment and ethics.
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

• Active professional liability insurance.
• Laptop and secure internet connection.
• Minimum two years of sobriety.
• No record of felony or gross misdemeanor.
