Pharmacy Data Entry Technician

Overview

Presbyterian Homes & Service sis seeking a Pharmacy Data Entry Technician to join its Radius Living Rx team.

The Pharmacy Data Entry Technician is responsible for processing prescriptions, maintaining patient records, assisting customers and healthcare partners, resolving billing and insurance issues, and supporting medication fulfillment. They also collaborate with pharmacists and team members to ensure accurate, timely service and support of patient and facility needs. This role is essential in ensuring that our pharmacy runs smoothly and efficiently, ultimately helping to provide excellent service to our customers.

The Pharmacy Data Entry Technician reports to the Front End Manager.

Radius Living Rx is a long-term care pharmacy serving residents in partner communities across Minnesota and Wisconsin. Our pharmacists, technicians, and support staff work closely with facility care teams and prescribers, so the work stays close to the people it's for. We're building a team that wants pharmacy practice grounded in that relationship: careful medication management, direct communication with facility staff, and a genuine stake in how residents are doing.

Support pharmacy operations by:

• Process incoming calls, faxes, and email to:
  • Establish and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient profiles in FrameworkLTC.
  • Receive prescriptions and refill requests and verify that information is complete and accurate.
  • Process prescriptions using third party insurance billing.
  • Assist facilities and patients with questions and refer them to the pharmacist for medication information as needed.
• Adjudicate prescriptions and address rejected claims.
• Follow up with facilities on medication and profile concerns.
• Assist with packaging prescriptions for urgent medication fills as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor or supervising pharmacist.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in healthcare or related field preferred.
• Active and valid pharmacy technician license/certification required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills tailored to healthcare professionals.
• Strong customer service and phone skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of medication terminology, insurance processes, and pharmacy regulations.
• Preferred prior experience in a pharmacy or healthcare customer service role, preferably in long-term care.
• Preferred familiarity with LTC pharmacy software systems (ie. FrameworkLTC).

The estimated starting pay range for this role is $22 - $25 per hour. This good faith estimate is based upon PHS’s typical starting pay range for this role. Actual pay range depends upon many factors including each individual employee’s qualifications and market conditions and is subject to change.

Full-time benefits-eligible employment begins at a minimum of 30 hours per week:
