TREATMENT DIRECTOR

Reports To: Chief Operating Officer

Work Location: Saint Paul with travel to agencies in Twin Cities

Hours: Monday - Friday, Daytime Hours

Pay Range: $120,000 - $150,000 annually

The Treatment Director ensures appropriate programming and curriculum for each program track within the assigned region. They collaborate and strategize with the Executive Team to develop standardized processes and systems while monitoring their effectiveness throughout the organization. The Treatment Director must ensure that staff are professionally trained to perform their duties. The Treatment Director directly manages Program Managers and oversees the entire clinical team.

The Treatment Director is responsible for 245G Clinical Compliance and Policy, Programming & Curriculum, facilitating the training and development of staff, ensuring Electronic Health Record (EHR) is used properly, auditing, awareness of current and future changes in Behavioral Health environment, interfacing with partners such as:
Corrections, Human Services, Probation and Parole.

The Treatment Director is responsible for the delivery of and proper documentation of treatment services including the Initial Service Plan, Comprehensive Assessment, Individual Treatment Plan, Progress Notes, Summary at Termination of Services, and the maintenance of client records. Know and understand all Partners Behavioral Healthcare processes as they pertain to the 12 core functions.

• Audit to ensure that all documentation is completed and maintained in accordance with 245G requirements and Partners Behavioral Healthcare policies.
• Conduct annual employee performance reviews and administer coaching or corrective action as needed.
• Provide leadership and supervision to the treatment team.
• Overseeing staffing levels to ensure appropriate coverage.
• Confirm at least 25% of a counselor's scheduled work hours be allocated to indirect services, including documentation of client services, coordination of services with others, treatment team meetings, and other duties.
• Maintain a weekly counselor schedule list to ensure group coverage.
• Ensuring ongoing communication with client referral sources, probation, social service agencies, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in corporate compliance initiatives.
• Act as Program Manager Designee in Program Manager’s absence.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships.
• Promote and ensure staff participate in annual trauma-informed and client-centered care training to support a culture of empowerment, hope, and respect.

• Upon service initiation, ensure that each client receives an initial service plan which addresses the client’s immediate health, safety, and preliminary service needs.
• Verify that a comprehensive assessment and an assessment summary of the client's chemical use problems is coordinated by an alcohol and drug counselor and completed within three calendar days after service initiation. The assessment summary must be formatted using the ASAM criteria.
• Confirm that an Individual Treatment Plan be developed after completion of the comprehensive assessment which is subject to amendment until services to the client are terminated. The individual treatment plan must include treatment goals, specific methods to be used to address identified problems, resources to which the client is being referred, and client goals.
• Ensure progress notes are entered in each client’s file weekly or after each treatment service and that the progress notes reference the individual treatment plan.
