About the Role
The Human Resources Manager is the on-site HR leader for the St Pauls, VA facility and is responsible for day-to-day HR execution, leader support, and employee experience. This role provides direct leadership to the HR Administrator. The Site HR Manager partners closely with plant leadership and the Regional HR Manager to support workforce needs, reinforce leadership expectations, and maintain strong HR operations, while leveraging centralized HR resources for employee relations, compliance, and specialized support.
WhatYou’ll Do
Site HR Leadership
- Serve as the primary HR partner for plant leadership and employees.
- Maintain a visible presence on the floor and within operations.
- Lead, coach, and develop the HR Administrator.
- Ensure timely follow-through and execution of weekly reporting.
HR Operations and Execution
- Oversee day-to-day HR administration including onboarding, performance management, employee data changes, terminations, and record management.
- Ensure accurate timekeeping, payroll coordination, and HRIS entries in partnership with centralized teams.
- Review documentation for completeness and accuracy prior to submission.
- Ensure HR processes are executed consistently and on time.
Leader Support and Coaching
- Coach supervisors and managers on people leadership fundamentals including attendance, performance conversations, and documentation.
- Support leaders in navigating employee concerns using approved processes.
- Reinforce expectations around accountability, consistency, and communication.
Employee Experience and Engagement
- Serve as a resource for employees regarding benefits, leaves, and HR programs.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and local culture efforts.
- Partner with leaders to support retention and morale.
Training and Development Support
- Support execution of leadership and employee training at the site level.
- Coordinate training schedules and completion tracking.
- Reinforce training expectations and follow up on application of learning.
Escalation and Partnership Model
- Identify matters requiring escalation and partner with the Regional HR Manager.
- Coordinate with centralized HR, ER, and Compliance teams as directed.
- Ensure guidance and outcomes are communicated and reinforced at the site level.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of HR experience, preferably in manufacturing or operational environments.
- Experience working within a regional or center-led HR model.
- Strong working knowledge of core HR processes including onboarding, performance management support, employee documentation, and workforce administration.
- Proven ability to coach frontline and mid-level leaders on people management fundamentals.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, hourly workforce environment.
