Interim HR Consultant

Interim HR Consultant will lead a variety of people, culture, and organizational design initiatives during a period of organizational transformation. This role will partner closely with executive leadership to support organizational structure planning, job design, culture integration, employee engagement, and internal talent processes. The consultant will serve as the primary HR resource for the initiative, helping build alignment, trust, and clarity while ensuring employees and leaders feel supported throughout the transition.

Hourly rate between $63-$73, DOE

• Partner with executive leadership to guide people and organizational initiatives during a period of change
• Facilitate culture integration efforts and help establish shared values, behaviors, and team norms
• Design and refine organizational structures, reporting relationships, and role clarity
• Develop, revise, and standardize job descriptions across the organization
• Create processes to support internal mobility, role selection, and employee transitions
• Facilitate leadership, board, and team workshops focused on alignment and future-state planning
• Support employee engagement and communication efforts throughout organizational changes
• Build trust and productive working relationships across multiple stakeholder groups
• Provide recommendations on organizational effectiveness, talent alignment, and workforce planning
• Serve as a strategic advisor while also driving hands‑on execution of project deliverables

• Proven HR consulting, HR Business Partner, Organizational Development, or People Strategy experience
• Strong organizational design experience, including org structures, role clarity, and job architecture
• Experience leading culture, employee engagement, or integration-related initiatives
• Exceptional facilitation and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to navigate sensitive employee situations with empathy and professionalism
• Experience supporting organizational change, restructuring, or merger/integration efforts preferred
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and influencing capabilities
• Ability to work independently and lead initiatives with minimal direction
• Nonprofit experience is preferred but not required
• High emotional intelligence and ability to build credibility across diverse stakeholder groups
