Job Overview
We are seeking a highly visible engineer within Executive Support Services to design, deploy, and maintain critical end‑user collaboration, conferencing, and communication technology platforms for Travelers executives. The role requires hands‑on engineering, data‑driven analysis, and effective communication across Infrastructure & Cloud Services and Technology & Operations teams.
Responsibilities- Provide extraordinary IT support to senior executives, including C‑level customers.
- Resolve executive support interactions on first touch whenever possible while balancing competing demands in a fast‑paced environment.
- Receive and respond to incoming calls, pages, and emails with immediacy and consistently meet or exceed SLA expectations.
- Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end‑user workstations, hardware, and software.
- Act as a trusted advisor on computing experiences and research new technologies to improve customer service.
- Facilitate coordination and resolution of complex issues; interact with vendors and handle escalations.
- Evaluate system specifications, transform business requirements into cost‑effective, technically correct solutions.
- Prioritize work, manage projects within budget, and maintain quality control and security protocols.
- Provide timely and accurate status and performance information to management.
- Build and maintain alliances across technical and business communities; multi‑task and prioritize according to business priorities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Strong interest and background in PC hardware, desktop operating systems, and network functionality.
- Highest sense of urgency, focus, and flexibility; willingness to travel and work flexible hours.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas to diverse audiences.
- Capacity to maintain confidentiality without exception, demonstrating discretion and judgment.
- Subject‑matter expertise in Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Skype for Business, Teams, Cisco VPN, iOS, Android, Polycom, Zoom, audio/video broadcasting, telephony, and related technologies.
- Understanding of cybersecurity and networking best practices and protocols.
- Strong analytical skills to influence recommendations, assess impacts, and compare solutions.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
