The Impact You’ll Make in this RoleThe role leads the design, development, maintenance, and optimization of applications and workflows supporting third-party enrichment processes, address validation, data matching, and data quality operations. It evaluates business needs, drives improvements to processes and tools, and applies advanced problem‑solving techniques to resolve complex technical issues. Responsibilities include analyzing existing systems, developing new solutions where needed, ensuring integration across MDM and customer/vendor master environments, and overseeing non-routine technical work conducted by internal and external contributors.
The role also leads or participates in project teams, develops project plans that support business strategies, assesses the impact of system changes, and ensures operational readiness for assigned applications.
- Serve as the primary technical SME for third-party enrichment workflows (such as Dun & Bradstreet), Loqate workflows, and Match It matching/cleansing engines.
- Own end-to-end application functionality, integrations, performance, and reliability.
- Conduct complex analysis of data quality issues, matching logic, and address validation rules and implement improvements.
- Lead system upgrades, enhancements, and optimization initiatives aligned with business and MDM requirements.
- Apply advanced analytical skills to troubleshoot complex technical issues requiring L4-level expertise and provide final-tier technical direction for escalated issues.
- Design, develop, and maintain application components and automation using Java, Python, APIs, and SQL.
- Support data transformation, batch processing, and integration with upstream and downstream systems.
- Evaluate and implement solutions that improve scalability, accuracy, and performance of matching and validation processes.
- Lead or contribute to technical work streams within projects, including S/4 readiness and future MDM hub initiatives.
- Develop project plans and technical recommendations aligned with business needs and strategies.
- Coordinate and provide technical direction to global teams supporting testing, validation, and release activities.
- Collaborate with business, MDM, customer master, QA, and integration teams to ensure alignment of technical solutions with data quality standards.
- Provide L4 support for escalated production issues requiring subject matter expertise, including deep-level troubleshooting and higher-tier guidance.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, runbooks, and system documentation.
- Support audit, compliance, and data governance activities related to enrichment workflows, matching, and address validation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, or a technology field (completed and verified prior to start).
- Six (6) years of relevant IT experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
- Strong hands‑on experience with Java, Python, APIs, SQL, and data transformation.
- Proven experience with data quality and matching tools such as Loqate or Match It.
- Experience with third-party enrichment processes (e.g., Dun & Bradstreet), address validation, and customer data matching.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical work streams and mentor technical resources.
