Founded in 2004, BME Strategies is a Massachusetts-based consulting firm specializing in the design, implementation, and evaluation of public health programs for local, regional, and state government partners. Our work supports evidence-based, community-driven solutions that strengthen public health systems and advance equity across the communities we serve. At BME, our clients are on the front lines of Public Health. Priorities may shift but our commitment to supporting our partners does not.
We take pride in having multi-year, multi-project engagements, often working closely as an extension of their staff. Our success comes from our shared values: a bias toward action; optimistically collaborative; willingness to navigate ambiguity; minimal ego - no job is too small or big; pursuing the equitable solution; always learning, and; committed to quality at every stage.

This role will translate curated data in the cloud-based database (Snowflake) into professional dashboards, indicators, charts, and interactive analytical products for the Foundational Public Health Services dashboards and related Local Public Health (LPH) use cases.
This role will serve as the bridge between documented analytic requirements (including business requirements, business rules, indicator specifications, and methodologies) and the business intelligence (BI) visualization layer by implementing high-quality, and maintainable BI assets suitable for stakeholder review and refinement. The primary business intelligence tool is pending executive decision, though experience with both Tableau and Power BI is valued.

- Implement indicator and metric logic in the BI layer where appropriate (e.g., calculations, measures, formatting, labeling) consistent with documented methodologies and conventions.
- Configure and maintain BI semantic layer/modeling artifacts as applicable (e.g., Tableau data sources/extracts where relevant, Power BI datasets/models), preserving alignment with Snowflake structures.
- Improve performance and usability through tuning and optimization (e.g., query efficiency, workbook/model design, visual density, filter strategies).
- Support release readiness and visual quality assurance, including filter behavior, crosstab consistency, export validation, and stakeholder review cycles.
- Participate in DPH/LPH engagement and refinement sessions and translate feedback into prioritized visualization updates.
- Work within a structured delivery environment using Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Office.
- Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience required, including 2+ years in an Associate role in a similar consulting environment
