We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Microsoft M365 Engineer with deep expertise in Exchange Online, One Drive, Teams, and SharePoint. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and support M365 solutions that drive business productivity, automation, and collaboration across our organization, focusing on end‑user experience. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of both Microsoft M365 and Entra/Azure cloud environments, with expertise in Active Directory administration in hybrid environments.
Additionally, the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues is essential for success.
– Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or eight years of work experience in a hybrid M365 environment supporting 4000+ users.
- Information technology experience must include the following:
- Providing operational support and configuration management of M365 Cloud platforms such as Exchange, One Drive, Teams, and SharePoint, ensuring seamless communication and high availability across all connected services and platforms.
- Scripting experience focused on automating the management of M365 and Microsoft Graph API services.
- Experience designing, testing, and implementing configuration, compliance, and other M365 policies within Entra/Azure environments.
- A strong understanding of Microsoft 365 security, compliance, and governance features (Purview).
- Active Directory administration, such as roles, schemas, and services (DNS, DHCP, and Sites and Services).
- Demonstrated experience deploying state‑of‑the‑art M365 capabilities into a large, geographically distributed environment.
- Provide support, oversight, governance, and tactical direction necessary to enable the delivery of M365 services.
- Offer significant input to the overall M365 architecture and operational governance model.
- Research, design, and implement components that are standards‑based, high performing, highly available, and secure to deliver the required business functionality.
- Provide operational guidance to the enterprise on the M365 suite, including conditional access and MFA/2FA integrations.
- Assess the current environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement.
- Utilize capability modeling to align system strategy and planning with business strategy and goals.
- Consult with project teams to determine when services must be modified to accommodate project needs.
- Implement and promote standard configuration and change management processes and practices.
- Develop and implement test plans, manage change management, and project timelines.
- Provide mentorship to a team of end‑user engineers, following industry‑established best practices.
- Monitor system performance and service health, security and compliance (Secure Score), and implement best practices and proactive improvements.
- Innovate and automate service delivery for service desk and support operations.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses for service delivery processes and projects.
- Support existing systems and projects in at least one environment.
- Review the completeness of requirements prior to solutioning.
- Plan and coordinate implementation, and review quality control of systems’ functional design, usability, functionality, and implementation.
- Coordinate with appropriate IT and vendor / procurement teams.
- Ensure early warning to leadership regarding degraded/disrupted service health.
- Develop and provide operational insights into compliance, security, status, and real‑time overviews of M365 and related technologies.
- Develop and maintain detailed standards, process, and control documentation.
The expected pay range for this role is $79,635.48 - $.
