Job Overview
The Senior IT Business Analyst reports to the VP/Director of Application Service Delivery and manages documentation of business requirements, problem analysis, and changes to existing business processes across four or more business areas. The role includes managing small‑size projects (up to 150 hours) and preparing and presenting information to peers.
Responsibilities- Obtain a deep understanding of four or more business areas to recommend solutions and build high‑quality requirements.
- Facilitate understanding of business requirements using interviews, workshops, surveys, site visits, and storyboards.
- Shape business requirements by assisting in recommendations and evaluating alternatives to proposed solutions.
- Translate conceptual user requirements into clear, detailed functional requirements.
- Prioritize requirements with business and delivery teams and manage scoping throughout the delivery process.
- Create and validate artifacts such as business case documentation, scope documentation, and process flows.
- Support delivery teams during development, testing, and deployment of solutions.
- Review delivery team output to ensure requirements are correctly interpreted.
- Define and execute test cases, and collaborate to develop scripts for defined business requirements.
- Complete testing within agreed timelines and report defects with defined severity and priority.
- Provide support for issues identified by business users, including after‑hours if necessary.
- Collaborate to implement solutions and support smaller project efforts.
- Engage stakeholders to determine explicit and implicit needs and requirements.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in a similar environment.
- Strong problem‑resolution and influencing skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong ability to engage developers and business partners to achieve target outcomes.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and tools such as Jira.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills.
- 6‑7 years of proven experience in a Business Analyst role.
- College graduate with a B.S./B.A. in Information Systems or equivalent.
- Additional degree such as M.B.A. or M.S. in a computer‑related field is a plus.
- Experience managing small‑size projects (up to 150 hours) including scope, schedule, resources, cost, and risks.
Expected pay range: $79,635.48 - $.
