JOB SUMMARY:
Provides overall support for all areas of technology including the network. Works with teachers to support the classroom technology use.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinating school-wide tech needs, including (but not limited to) computers, iPads, copiers, and interactive whiteboards for staff and students.
- Responding to and solving technology requests within 5 calendar days maximum, and most requests much quicker than that.
- Create systems to avoid technology frustrations.
- Provide training and support to assist staff and students become effective users of technology in the classroom.
- Provide yearly teacher in-service training on various technology skills and instructional strategies for school staff.
- Oversee general computer and network maintenance as necessary. Maintain an inventory of hardware and software used throughout the school.
- Coordinate technology services and serve as a liaison to technology vendors.
- Research and propose cost-saving technology solutions
- Support district assessment coordinator during assessment process by preparing devices and troubleshooting as needed.
- Maintain staff, student, and parent account access, including Infinite Campus, Google Admin, Clever, and others.
- Ensure school website and social media accounts are up to date.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the administrator.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Successful teaching and/or technology coordination experience.
- Excellent organizational, planning and leadership skills.
- Knowledge in organizing, planning, supervising, budgeting and evaluating a technology program.
- Strong background in Apple computer environment, chromebook management, and network administration.
- Knowledge of media-related technologies such as computers, white board technology, web usage, video production, internet, etc.
- Knowledge of research and trends in teaching and learning styles as well as teaching and learning strategies to meet a wide range of student learning styles and abilities.
- Ability to integrate curriculum and technology skills.
- Ability and willingness to provide leadership in curriculum planning, technology integration, and program development.
- Ability to work effectively, cooperatively, and collaboratively with staff, students, community, and administration.
