Data Product Manager

St. Paul, MN (Remote/Hybrid – Local Candidates Preferred)

We are seeking an experienced Data Product Manager to lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of modern data products and help transform legacy data into scalable, trusted, and high-value data assets.
Key Responsibilities- Define data product vision, strategy, roadmap, and priorities
- Lead products through the full lifecycle from ideation to deployment and iteration
- Partner with Data Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, and Architecture teams
- Translate business needs into data transformations, metadata & domain rules
- Drive data quality, governance, lineage, documentation, and scalability
- Develop KPIs, dashboards, success metrics, and adoption strategies
- Serve as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to modernize legacy data platforms and processes
- Support responsible data use, privacy, governance, and compliance
- Provide knowledge transfer and stakeholder communication
- 4–7 years of experience in Data Management, Analytics, Data Engineering, or related fields
- Strong Data Product Management / Product Leadership experience
- Understanding of data pipelines, warehousing, modeling, metadata & governance
- Strong SQL, ETL, Data Lakes, and modern data architecture knowledge
- Significant experience with Databricks
- Experience with dbt, Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
- Strong stakeholder and communication skills
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language
- Experience collaborating with Data Architecture, Engineering & Data Science teams
- Familiarity with Python and Java
- Experience building internal or developer-facing data products
- Modern data architecture implementation experience
- Experience in highly regulated environments
- Human services or government-sector experience
- Experience with statistical analysis and reporting
Important:
Local Minnesota candidates are preferred. Candidate must be physically located within the United States and available during Central Time business hours.
