This position serves our partners at the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT). MNIT MnDOT supports an agency with technology integrated into all areas of business. From business intelligence and solutions for critical transportation infrastructure to planning and operating a safe, efficient, and reliable multimodal transportation system, the team connects people and markets across Minnesota.
As the Director of Security and Resilience for MNIT DOT, you will work under the Deputy CBTO to provide strategic direction and executive leadership for MnDOT's Security and Resilience Division. You will lead a multidisciplinary team overseeing cybersecurity, vulnerability management, disaster recovery, application preservation, IT compliance, technology enablement, and contract support. The position also directs security and operational support for MnDOT's mission-critical RTMC and OSRC environments and provides strategic oversight of the MnDOT Application Portfolio to ensure data accuracy and alignment across MnDOT, MNIT DOT, and MNIT Enterprise.
The Director coordinates planning, integration, and execution across all applications, infrastructure, and data to ensure cohesive, risk-informed management of MnDOT's technology portfolio. The role collaborates with MNIT Enterprise, MnDOT and MNIT DOT leadership, business partners, and external stakeholders to advance statewide security governance, enterprise risk management, compliance initiatives, and technology strategy. As part of MNIT DOT's leadership team, the Director influences IT budget planning and investment decisions to support a secure, resilient, and efficient transportation system.
This role requires visionary leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to continuous improvement, with strong alignment to MnDOT's mission to balance competing priorities and ensure teams see the mission reflected in their daily work.
