The MNIT DCT team provides essential IT support for a wide range of healthcare services, including mental health, substance abuse treatment, and support for individuals with developmental disabilities. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that the technology needs of DCT are met, enabling them to deliver high-quality care and treatment services to Minnesotans in need.
As an IT Governance Coordinator, you will support Direct Care and Treatment's (DCT) technology strategy by coordinating IT governance activities for the agency's technology portfolio. You will help establish and maintain governance processes that support consistent evaluation, prioritization, and oversight of technology initiatives while ensuring alignment with Minnesota IT Services (MNIT) standards and DCT strategic priorities.
In this role, you will coordinate the intake and business case process for proposed technology initiatives, manage prioritization and scoring activities, maintain visibility into the portfolio of approved initiatives, and provide reporting and decision-support information to leadership and governance groups. You will work closely with DCT and MNIT business and technology partners to facilitate governance discussions, communicate decisions and next steps, identify risks and barriers, and promote transparency across the technology initiative portfolio.
This position requires an employee to work onsite at 3200 Labore Road, Vadnais Heights, Minnesota at least 50% [or more or less if space limitations remain] of the time, with limited telework available. Telework eligibility depends on residence:
- Candidates living in Minnesota or within 50 miles of the worksite in a bordering state (Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin) may telework up to 50%.
- Minnesota residents living more than 50 miles from the worksite may be eligible to telework more than 50%.
- Candidates living 50 miles or more from the worksite in a bordering state may work onsite 100% or may be telework eligible if relocating within 50 miles.

Position requires a minimum of four (4) years of IT related experience in IT governance, IT portfolio management, and/or IT business analysis.
Experience must include:
- Developing, coordinating, or supporting IT governance processes, including the intake, evaluation, prioritization, and/or approval of technology initiatives.
- Developing or evaluating business cases, requirements, or other decision-support materials for technology initiatives.
- Managing or supporting IT portfolio activities, including tracking initiatives, identifying risks or issues, and providing status reporting.
