The MNIT DCT team provides essential IT support for a wide range of healthcare services, including mental health, substance abuse treatment, and support for individuals with developmental disabilities. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that the technology needs of DCT are met, enabling them to deliver high-quality care and treatment services to Minnesotans in need.

This posting will be used to fill multiple vacancies. All applicants will be considered for each vacancy. As a SharePoint Administrator, you will provide advanced technical administration, development, and support for Microsoft SharePoint environments supporting Direct Care and Treatment (DCT). You will maintain and support SharePoint Online environments and associated development and testing environments to support DCT's data, information, and business process needs.

In this role, you will configure, administer, maintain, and troubleshoot SharePoint environments and site collections; support integrations with related Microsoft technologies; and identify and resolve complex technical issues impacting system availability and users. You will also serve as a technical resource to business site collection administrators and users, providing guidance and support for SharePoint capabilities and associated workflow and collaboration tools.

You will serve as a SharePoint Online Technical Owner for assigned DCT site collections within the Microsoft 365 Government Community Cloud (GCC) and collaborate with MNIT Enterprise and other technical teams on SharePoint administration, development, governance, security, and support. You will also support the migration of DCT content from on-premises SharePoint environments to SharePoint Online and provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members.

This position requires an employee to work onsite at 3200 Labore Road, Vadnais Heights, Minnesota at least 50% [or more or less if space limitations remain] of the time, with limited telework available.

  • Candidates living in Minnesota or within 50 miles of the worksite in a bordering state (Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin) may telework up to 50%.
  • Minnesota residents living more than 50 miles from the worksite may be eligible to telework more than 50%.
  • Candidates living 50 miles or more from the worksite in a bordering state may work onsite 100% or may be telework eligible if relocating within 50 miles.

Minimum Qualifications

To qualify, candidates must clearly show all of the following qualifications in their resume:

  • Position requires a minimum of four (4) years of IT related experience in Microsoft SharePoint administration and technical support.
  • Experience must include:
    • Configuration and administration of Microsoft SharePoint environments, including service applications, search, permissions, site collections, and integrations.
    • Administration and support of SharePoint on-premises and/or SharePoint Online environments.
    • Development and support of forms and workflow solutions using tools such as Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint Designer, Nintex Workflow, Info Path, or similar technologies.
    • Microsoft SQL database management and Power Shell scripting or automation.
    • Troubleshooting and resolution of complex SharePoint application, system, and/or infrastructure issues.
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a manner that facilitates mutual understanding.
    • Customer-focused approach grounded in active listening, empathy, and solution-oriented problem-solving to deliver positive user experiences.
  • Education in Information Technology (IT) or an IT related field may substitute for experience as follows: a master's degree for eighteen (18) months of experience; a bachelor's degree for one (1) year; and an associate's degree for six (6) months.

Strongly Preferred Qualifications

  • Administration and support of SharePoint Online, including SharePoint Online Admin Center and site collection administration.
  • SharePoint migration planning and implementation, including use of migration tools such as Share Gate.
  • Administration and support of large or complex SharePoint environments supporting a significant number of users, sites, and/or business functions.
  • Development and administration using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate.
