The City of Brooklyn Park, a vibrant and diverse northwestern suburb of Minneapolis, is seeking motivated individuals for its Police Cadet Program. This program prepares qualified candidates for future police officer roles by providing a part-time, uniformed position, hands-on experience, and a college scholarship for the required education.
Responsibilities- Cadets assist with community engagement, traffic and perimeter control, administrative duties, patrol ride-alongs, and other law enforcement preparation activities.
- Candidates must be physically, medically, and psychologically fit.
- Possess a high school diploma by June 30, 2026.
- Maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA in an approved law enforcement program.
- Hold a valid driver’s license.
- We highly value candidates with exceptional diversity skills, including language fluency or cultural knowledge, to help the Department serve Brooklyn Park’s diverse population.
